As a new investor, you are more than likely reading everything you can about investing and have probably come across information on how to get free penny stock lists. These lists are the recommendations of which penny stocks you should invest in and you should notice that each one comes with a disclaimer stating that it is not financial advice. The truth is, you must be careful of these lists, as there are many downsides to them.
The one thing you probably do not know about free penny stock lists is that they are often put together by people that are not really knowledgeable about them. In fact, the people who put up the lists may only be knowledgeable about other stocks, where the penny stock defers greatly from other types of stock, the information you receive may not be very good advice at all.
Another problem is that many of the lists are created with one thing in mind; the actual company pays the site to list it as a potential business to invest it. In other words, they are paying to be on the site, which seem nothing but unfair. However, you also have to keep in mind that not all lists are created this way. In fact, some of them are actually legitimate, but it is very difficult to tell which ones are which.
What the majority of successful investors do is buy a list. Again, you still have to be careful, as they may not legitimately doing the necessary research and they may be taking payment from companies to be added onto the list. The only way to find out is to get some feedback from other investors and research the website and company to find out if they are on the up-and-up.
While free penny stock recommendation might sound good, it usually is too good to be true. Instead of looking at the lists that won’t cost you anything, try a paid list, as you will find the company list is often selected by hours of thorough research.
